EICA Crane Certification Practice Test

An all terrain crane is specifically designed to excel in both on-road and off-road applications. The distinguishing feature of this type of crane is its ability to travel at highway speeds, allowing it to move between job sites without requiring additional transportation methods. At the same time, it is equipped with robust tires and a versatile suspension system that enables it to operate effectively on rough and uneven terrain. This combination of features provides flexibility in various working environments, making all terrain cranes suitable for construction sites that may have uneven ground along with the need to transport the crane over public roads.

The ability to perform in both scenarios—traveling at high speeds and functioning in off-road conditions—sets all terrain cranes apart from other types of cranes that may be restricted to either paved surfaces or specific types of rough terrain.
